‘Always Sunny’ stars Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day host live podcast

The gang went to Kentucky.

And just like most of its escapades, the trip didn’t exactly go as planned.

Three of the minds behind the long-running “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” TV series were at the Bourbon & Beyond festival Saturday in Louisville to record their first live episode of “The Always Sunny Podcast.” And technically, they did.

Was it a behind-the-scenes conversation fans might have anticipated? Not entirely.

Did it involve a lot of alcohol? Of course.

For an hour, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney regaled a crowd with stories of their most drunken nights, intermittently checked their blood alcohol levels (to see who was drunkest) and led fans in a singalong of songs from “The Nightman Cometh,” the show’s musical fourth-season finale.
