‘Tis the season for too much drinkin’. Many people will be hungover during the holiday season but Domino’s may have the solution. According to Wales Online, the pizza chain’s UK division is offering imbibing customers a hangover cure.

It’s called the Bloody Domino’s. The limited edition drink is made with a combination of tomato juice and pickle juice. A spicy blend of turmeric, cayenne pepper, fresh horseradish, and black pepper gives it a zesty kick. That doesn’t sound too bad.

A company rep says, “Hangovers can be horrid so it’s no surprise we all have our way of dealing with them. Some reach for a Domino’s pizza, others a Bloody Mary. So, when we found out the nation was as tomato obsessed as us, we were inspired – and Bloody Domino’s was born.”

The Bloody Domino’s is available to pre-order now at Who knows? It may be worth importing! Or, now that you know what’s in it, you could probably make it yourself.

A team of scientists in India have come up with another hangover remedy, which includes a blended beverage made with coconut water, sweet lime, and pear accompanied by a small meal of cheese, tomatoes, and cucumber. You can read about that HERE.

Which Booze Goes In Your Eggnog?

With the holiday season upon us, it’s time to ask some serious questions. Real or fake tree? White or colored lights? A Christmas Story or Christmas Vacation? And what kind of alcohol goes in eggnog?

A new survey from Tasting Table looks at the best best booze to put in the traditional holiday beverage. Legend has it that George Washington was an eggnog fan and even had his own recipe, including rye whiskey, which he distilled himself at Mount Vernon, as well as brandy, rum, and sherry. No wonder he had wooden teeth!

Most modern eggnog recipes call for just one type of alcohol, but folks are mixed on which one. Forty-two percent of those surveyed agreed that rum is the best choice for spiking their nog. About 20 percent prefer brandy, 17 percent want bourbon, followed closely by whiskey with 16 percent of the votes. Just under five percent chose cognac.
