LE MOYNE ATHLETICS TO PROVIDE LIVE WEB STREAM OF GOLD WAVE HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY

Syracuse, N.Y. — The Le Moyne Athletic Department announced on Thursday that for the first time in a number of years, a live web stream of the Gold Wave Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will be provided to a worldwide audience free of charge.

The Le Moyne College Dolphin Athletic Association is set to enshrine four new members into the Gold Wave Hall of Fame on Saturday, including two former standout student-athletes, one former Head Coach and a long-time administrator. Those unable to attend the 38th Gold Wave Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be able to watch a free live stream of the event by clicking the link above.

The brunch begins at 10 a.m. in James Commons on the campus of Le Moyne College with the official induction ceremony scheduled to begin at approximately 11 a.m. The video stream will go live at approximately 10:55 a.m.

The Gold Wave Hall of Fame Class of 2022 includes Katie O’Donnell ’12 (women’s swimming), Flagan Prince ’04 (men’s basketball), Head Coach Joe Hannah (swimming and diving) and Dr. Shawn Ward (honorary).

“I’m thrilled that we will be able to deliver a live web stream of the Gold Wave Hall of Fame induction ceremony for the first time in years,” said Director of Athletics and Recreation Bob Beretta. “The accomplishments and contributions to Le Moyne’s Athletic Department by this group are incredible. While Shawn and Joe have combined for more than 60 years of dedicated service to Le Moyne Athletics, Katie and Flagan’s athletic achievements during their days in the Green and Gold are certainly worthy of enshrinement.

“We are extremely excited to share this celebration of excellence with our Dolphin faithful throughout the world.”

The four-member class was announced in July with Saturday’s ceremonies highlighting the department’s “Doc” Joiner Homecoming Weekend festivities.

The Le Moyne Athletics Gold Wave Hall of Fame features the best of the best, honoring those who helped shape the face of Dolphin Athletics. With this year’s selections, 139 individuals and 11 teams have been elected to the prestigious hall.
