New Year’s Eve is coming and there will be plenty of events and places to party in and around Lexington to celebrate.

The holiday falls on a weekend again this year, so local bars and restaurants are ready for the parties.

Here is a list and guide of are some of the places you could go out, whether you’re looking to dress up, get down, party in the suburbs or celebrate downtown.

The Kentucky Castle

230 Pisgah Pike in Versailles; The Kentucky Castle is hosting “New Year’s Eve: A Black Tie Affair,” beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets $200-$400 per person, includes hors d’oeuvres, premium three-course dinner, three drinks at the bar and a champagne toast at midnight. Live music and dancing by The Company Band. Black tie attire recommended. (VIP tickets are sold out.)

Cellar Bar & Grille

3256 Lansdowne Dr.; Cellar Bar & Grille will have live music from Steve Sizemore starting at 8:30 p.m. and a braised short rib special. No cover. Champagne toast at midnight. Reservations recommended.


3070 Lakecrest Circle; Azur Restaurant & Patio will host a New Year’s Eve Bash featuring live music from Matt Castle, starting at 8 p.m. Three seatings available. Reservations recommended.

Whiskey Bear

3195 Beaumont Center Circle; Whiskey Bear will have dinner & a party with three seatings beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person, including three-course dinner. Drinks separate.

The Goose

170 Jefferson St.; The Goose Lexington will have prime rib special for New Year’s Eve. Reservations recommended.

The Grand Reserve

903 Manchester St. at 903 Venues, The Grand Reserve will host Kelly’s All Black Attire New Year’s Eve Party beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $100-$140, including free beer and liquor from 8 p.m. to midnight. Must wear all back to enter and no sneakers. R&B soul singer and songwriter Keke Wyatt will perform live. Cash giveaway every half-hour starting at 10 p.m.

21c Museum Hotel

167 W. Main St.; 21c will host NYE at 21c, beginning at 8:30 p.m. with live music by Lauren Mink Band. Tickets are $100-$125, includes champagne, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a cash bar. Black and white dressy cocktail attire only. You can also reserve a room in the hotel for a special rate.

Fiddletree Kitchen & Bar

444 Parkway Dr.; Fiddletree Kitchen & Bar will have live music by Ashley Renae, 7:30 to 10 p.m.

Hilton Downtown

369 W. Vine St.; Hilton Lexington/Downtown will have a New Year’s Celebration starting at 7:30 p.m. featuring DJ Leon. Tickets are $100 per person/$75 child under 12.

Embassy Suites Lexington

1801 Newtown Pike; Embassy Suites Lexington at UK Coldstream will host a New Year No Fear event from 5 to 9 p.m.

Wise Bird Cider

1170 Manchester St.; Wise Bird Cider will host a ’70s disco party beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Distillery District with a food buffet by Little Fork, cider Jell-o shots, music, drag show and cost contest MC’d by Benita Bloom. Tickets are $100 per person, including two drink tickets, dinner buffet, champagne toast at midnight.

West Sixth Brewing

501 W. Sixth St.; West Sixth Brewing is bringing back its big New Year’s Eve party, beginning at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $100-$200. Reservations recommended. Includes one bottle of Snakes in A Barrel, 2 draft tickets, 2 glasses of champagne, goodies and table shareables from Smithtown Seafood such as Artichoke-Parm-Jalapeno Dip and Chef Agnes’ Puerto Rican Cod Fritters. You can also pre-order a Seafood Tower from Smithtown for an additional cost.

Mirror Twin Brew Co.

725 National Ave.; Mirror Twin is hosting “Viva Las Lexington” in the Warehouse Block starting at 8 p.m. Tickets $5-$30, drink specials, casino in 725 taproom, music by Livewire Entertainment.

Maiden City Brewing Co.

561 S. Broadway; Maiden City Brewing is hosting a New Year’s Eve Bash with Southern Konnection playing at 9:30 p.m. Food and drink specials all night.

Al’s Bar

601 N. Limestone; Al’s Bar will host “Aught or Not” 2000s NYE beginning at 8 p.m. with DJ Best Western playing tunes from the 2000s, a costume contest and more.

Green Lantern Bar

497 W. Third St.; Green Lantern Bar will host New Year’s Bounce! beginning at 8 p.m. featuring live music from frigidkitty, Jeanne Vomit-Terror, Electro Steed, and introducing Bar Band Bingo. $10 cover charge.

Neon Moon

1801 Alexandria Dr.; Neon Moon is holding a New Year’s Eve party featuring karaoke, party favors, champagne toast at midnight and an Ugly Sweater Party starting at 8 p.m. No cover.

Stagger Inn

269 W Main St.; Stagger Inn will have live music from Paint Creek beginning at 10 p.m.


117 N. Limestone; Crossings is hosting a drag show featuring Uma Jewels and more.

Tin Roof

303 S. Limestone; Tin Roof will have a UK vs. Louisville game watch party beginning at noon with DJ Miracle during commercials, at halftime and after the game, live music beginning at 6 p.m. from Bill & Kara and Tripping Roots at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $5-$250,

Cocktails TOO

130 W. Tiverton Way; Cocktails TOO will have live music from Kenny Owens & Group Therapy beginning at 9 p.m.

Illusion Selfie Studio & VR Arcade

161 Lexington Green Circle; Illusion Selfie Studio will host New Year’s Eve Night of Euphoria, beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets are $100-$300, include food, champagne toast, DJ Forerunner and What Shayna Say! with unlimited access to 20+ selfie booths and more. Dress is cocktail attire. Included in your stay at The Embassy Suites in Lexington Gree with a reception with hors d’oeuvres at 5: 30 p.m. and free breakfast the next morning.
