BEAUMONT, Texas — An event that kicked off Friday is benefitting a non-profit organization and giving Southeast Texas a chance to enjoy good whiskey.
The Southeast Texas Whiskey Festival kicked off Friday, January 6, 2023. Tickets for Friday are already sold out, but there is still a chance to get tickets for Saturday, January 7, 2023.
Organizers describe the two-day celebration as, “a whiskey and bourbon event unlike any other Texas has seen before.”
The festival will take place at the Beaumont Civic Center. Those who go will have a chance to try premium spirits, mingle with fellow whiskey lovers, and learn from the best in the whiskey and bourbon business.
There will be more than 400 bottles of whiskey and bourbon from more than 80 distilleries for attendees to sample.
In addition, attendees will also have a chance to win several high-end prizes. These prizes include rare bottles of bourbon, whiskey, and more.
One hundred percent of proceeds from the festival will go toward Cure Rare Disease. According to their website, the organization works to develop life-saving gene therapies for rare and ultra-rare disease patients through collaborations with world-renowned academics and clinicians.
